If you arrive early or are already in Athens, let’s use #wild-week to arrange breakfast and lunch. It’s arrival day for most of the team, so things will be a bit more spontaneous.

Safe travels! Submit travel costs via Productive (Wild Weeks / 2026/03 Athens / Transportation). Channel your inner ancient Greek: be wise, be responsible, share your ride. Public transport tickets await you at the hotel.

For many of you, this is the first time in ages, or even ever, that we're meeting. So take your time. Grab a drink at the hotel bar, go for a walk, show off your latest magic trick. We’ll meet for dinner at 8.

Since we’re around 30 people, we’ve taken over the whole One Burger. The ancient greeks gods might not have had burgers, but we’re pretty sure they would’ve approved. So go big on drinks and burgers and enjoy this one-of-a-kind spot!

Your team leads have something very special planned. It’s a surprise, so we’re just as clueless as you are. “I know that I know nothing.” Pretty sure an old Greek philosopher said that.

Whether your leads took you to a taverna for drinks or tried to educate you in a museum, we’re pretty sure you’ll be hungry again. Luckily, we’ve got a big table (or maybe a few small ones) waiting for us at 8pm at Ergon House.

Sightseeing

Because we only like lines of code, we got you tickets to skip the line at the Acropolis. Be there between 10 and 11am. Use the rest of the day to explore. There are sooo many very old, old, and newer things to see. Enjoy Athens and have fun with your colleagues.

FAQs

How to get my Flight Tickets?

All flight tickets got sent to your wild email address. If that is not the case, please get in touch with @mment. If you have any questions related to your flight, feel free to contact the airline directly.

Any arrival instructions?

Once you land in Athens, you have several ways to get to the hotel. You can take the Metro Line 3 (blue line), 24-hour express buses, suburban rail or share a taxis/uber ride.

Everybody will get a public transport ticket after arrival at the hotel. Make sure to always carry it with you while you travel.

What about photos & vidoes?

Please take photos or videos with your phone or camera. We’d love for everyone to share their best shots in this Google Drive folder. Please pre-select what you upload: Keep the best moments and leave out duplicates or media where someone doesn’t look great. If in doubt, just ask the person. And if you prefer not to be posted anywhere, let Matthias know — we’ll respect that.

Do I need to bring my laptop?

Yes. Please bring your laptop in case there's a project related emergency.

What's the weather like?

With around 15°C, it's colder than usual during this time. We recommend to bring a jacket.

How to reimburse any of my costs?

Keep all receipts (digital or paper). Submit your costs within 7 days after the trip. The Reimbursements will be processed with your next salary. (Only reasonable expenses will be reimbursed). Submit your receipts via Productive (Wild Weeks / 2026/03 Athens)
